Call for Late Abstracts

Due to the large amount of requests received for an extended abstract submission deadline, the Program Planning Committee is pleased to announce a Call for Late Abstracts and invites authors to submit abstracts under the following thematic tracks (with particular interest in abstracts submitted for bolded tracks below):

  • Disasters and Older People
  • Age Friendly Cities and Communities
  • Care and Support for Older People (Community and Residential)
  • Elder Abuse, Law and Rights
  • Income Protection and Security

The Program Planning Committee are particularly interested in abstracts submitted under the ‘Elder Abuse, Law and Rights’ and ‘Income Protection and Security’ themes. Abstracts under these two themes for oral and poster presentations will receive priority reviewing.

The Call for Late Abstracts will close on Friday 5 February 2016, however a rolling review process has been implemented meaning that the sooner you submit your abstract, the sooner you will be notified of the outcome! All  accepted presenting authors from the Call for Late Abstracts will be required to register and pay to attend the Conference by the early bird registration deadline on Tuesday 22 March 2016.

Sponsorship & Exhibition Opportunities

The IFA 2016 Organising Committee invites you to consider the benefits of joining us as a valued sponsor. The Conference will provide the perfect forum for companies actively involved in, and related to, the ageing population to promote their products and services. Varying levels of Sponsorship involvement are available with the option to tailor or create a package to best match your budget and strategy.

The International Federation of Ageing’s membership extends to over 70 countries with a constituency representing over 60 million mature aged people. Sponsorship opportunities have been designed to extend your reach well beyond the Conference itself.

Organisations specialising in aged care, health and social service delivery, communication and technology innovations, age friendly cities, elderly abuse, public health and emergency disaster management are particularly encouraged to participate.

For all enquiries, please click on the below button to complete the expression of interest form or alternatively contact the Sponsorship and Exhibitions Account Manager, Drew Whait by emailing or phoning +61 2 9265 0700.

Be sure to register as soon as possible to take advantage of the  discounted early bird rates.
